    Lemon Berry Trifle

    Updated: Oct 29, 2018

Trifle is one of those kinda healthy dishes that makes you want to keep eating until feeling guilty...trust me, I know from personal experience.

    1. 2 packets of ladyfingers.

    2. 3 cups fresh berries: can be anything from strawberries (sliced in half) to raspberries to blackberries to golden berries, if you're feeling audacious!

    3. 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream

    4. Lemon custard

    1. Whip the whipping cream until stiff peaks form. If you wish, you can add some jam or custard to give it flavoring. Set aside.

    2. Assemble the trifle, in any way you desire, by alternating the solid and wet ingredients. For example, here is how we did it in this picture:

Ladyfingers (the bottom layer can use broken pieces)

    Lemon custard

Thin (1 cm) layer of berries

    Whipped cream

    Repeat the above once more

Top it off with whipped cream and berries

For best results, the trifle should be set in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
